Becoming a Rotarian Membership in the Rotary Club of Haywood County is by invitation and with approval of the club membership. Rotary members are chosen to represent a wide cross-section of the community's business and professional life and are required to live or work in Haywood County. To become a Rotarian, you must be proposed for membership by a sponsor who is a club member in good standing. The sponsor submits an application to the club's Board of Directors. Prior to being considered for club membership, the proper classification is determined based on the proposed member's vocation. The name and classification of the prospective member are then presented to the club membership along with a timeline for responding to the proposal. Upon successful completion of the application process, the new member is inducted into the club and is required to attend an orientation program. Rotarians have opportunity to:
